It’s Sober Rated is an alcohol-free community that was founded in April 2020. The brand reviews Alcohol-Free drinks and shares positive sober stories to its community via social media and a monthly newsletter. The team is made up of three alcohol-free entrepreneurs who are looking to tackle certain toxic mindsets behind alcohol, especially among young professional males.  


The Brief

It’s Sober Rated wanted to become a community for young adults who lead an alcohol-free lifestyle. To achieve this, the brand needed a fully integrated website, a social media strategy, marketing collateral such as product photography, and a newsletter to share with its followers. Above all else, the brief highlighted the importance of making the community inclusive and avoiding being judgmental or unnecessarily self-righteous.

The Brief

To achieve this, the brand needed a fully integrated website, a social media strategy, marketing collateral such as product photography, and a newsletter to share with its followers. The Solution

Our work on the project started with creating a vibrant and youthful brand that engaged the target audience. We then designed It’s Sober Rated’s website, focusing on the alcohol-free drinks and reviews it set out to highlight. Once the website and brand were all set and ready to launch, we focused on crafting a social media strategy that would help It’s Sober Rated build the community it wanted. By creating high-quality product photography, as well as positive and motivational content to support the reviews, we were able to create engaging posts that helped the brand grow and generated traffic to its website.

As well as creating content, we focused on engaging with the community that already existed on Instagram, which was the main driver behind the brand’s success. With daily engagement and high-quality posts, the Instagram account was growing at a rate of 300 new followers per month. Alongside the website, newsletter, and reviews, this resulted in an all-around marketing solution tailored for growth.
